We have a fundraiser planned called “Pie a Chi”, where people will purchase whip cream pies and throw them at brothers. Along with “Pie a Chi”, we are also investigating new and unique projects such as "taze a chi" and "paintball a chi". We got these ideas from the regional conference in Wilmington this year and are waiting for the school's response on these new and attractive philanthropy projects. - Food Bank - We continue to work closely with the Food bank donating time and money.
- Special Olympics - We also continue to work closely with the Special Olympics donating time and money.

- Street Clean-up - This semester we have participated in a street clean up for the city of Greenville. We picked up over 10 bags of trash and waste on 2 local streets.
- "Can the Van" - The Philanthropy event CAN THE VAN is going on right now in April! It is a food drive, geared at giving canned food to the Homeless for the Holidays. The chapter is also having a philanthropy event called “can the van” in which we fill up a van full of canned foods and donate it to local agencies. We hear that this has been a great success in the past and we hope to bring it back as a successful philanthropy project. This project promotes friendly competition with the result being much needed re-sources for the community.
A fter much consideration and discus-sion, we finally decided on a time and set-ting for the Spring 2010 Alumni Formal. The event will be held in Raleigh, NC at they Holiday Inn Brownstone Hotel & Con-ference Center. This Hotel is located at 1707 Hillsborough Street. It is 2 blocks from NC State University, 3 miles from the RBC Center, and 1 mile from downtown Raleigh.
The evening will begin at 7:30 on Saturday, April 24th. There will be a buffet style dinner. The room is booked until 12:00am. Afterwards, people are welcome to stay at the hotel and enjoy the bars, but are also welcome to take a short cab ride downtown and see the great night life of Raleigh.
I currently have 20 rooms reserved on Saturday night for the active brothers and their dates. There is plenty of availability for that night in the hotel, so if you would like to stay and book a room, just call and say you are with the ECU Delta Chi Alumni. The rate for a single room (2 double beds or 1 king) is $79.00. The Hotel phone number is (919) 828-0811.

I cannot really book anymore rooms, since I have no idea how many alumni are attending.
If you would like to attend and stay somewhere else, that is fine also. The fee for alumni is $60.00. This includes a buffet style dinner for 2, cash bar, and beverages. The hotel would have to be booked separately. We also plan on having Guy Harvey Formal T-shirts for sale throughout the weekend.
